Job Summary:


adMare BioInnovations is seeking to hire a highly motivated technician with expertise in antibody discovery and characterisation to join our team. The position of Technician II – Antibody Characterisation is to participate in all aspects of discovery, lead optimization and pre-clinical development to advance novel biologics from the discovery phase into the clinic. The incumbent will demonstrate their ability to participate in a highly innovative research environment, contributing both intellectually and experimentally to numerous biotherapeutic programs.




  • Utilize expertise to design, execute and analyze experiments assessing antibody characteristics and function, for innovative biotherapeutics across several disease indications, under the supervision of a senior scientist as required.
  • Present data to the team and contribute ideas to scientific discussion
  • Effectively collaborate with other members of the team, and external collaborators and partners.
  • Training team members as required
  • Contribute to building a culture that embraces courage, collaboration, objectivity, judgement, excellence and reach.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc. in immunology/biochemistry/cell biology or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in antibody characterisation, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise in antibody characterisation - binding assays (ELISA and flow cytometry), internalisation assays (flow cytometry or imaging based)
  • Demonstrated experience with biologic/antibody drug discovery and development
  • Demonstrated experience with biophysical analysis of antibodies, including affinity determination by Biacore or Octet
  • Knowledge of antibody structure, function and key criteria for hit ranking and selection for antibodies in various therapeutic modalities
  • Knowledge of antibody discovery platforms e.g. phage display
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a laboratory setting.
  • Approaches work methodically and systematically, establishes priorities from amongst a number of demands
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized with strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced interactive team environment.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently and has excellent interpersonal skills
